Samantha M. Katinos

Biography

Samantha M. Katinos earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Oregon and then earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California where she focused on families and children. During her studies, Samantha had the opportunity to work with individuals and families doing brief therapy. She also gained valuable insight and experience interning with Orange County Social Services.

Samantha went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at Whittier Law School, with the specific intent to practice family law. While at Whittier, Samantha was a Family and Children's Rights Fellow and participated in the Family and Children's Rights Clinic. She also interned at the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, where she assisted low-income families navigate the family law court system.

From her experience in the social work field, Samantha has cultivated a holistic approach to practicing family law. She believes as an attorney, it is her job to actively listen, maintain an open-minded attitude and take a non-judgmental approach on each issue within a case.
