Biography

Deborah Jieun Song earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego and her Juris Doctor from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law. During law school, Deborah’s first internship was at a boutique criminal defense firm in Irvine. Then she became a certified law student and advocated for victims of felony domestic violence and child abuse and endangerment at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Family Protection Unit. Deborah also mediated real small claims matters at the Central Justice Center through Chapman Law’s Mediation Clinic and became a certified court mediator. Throughout law school, Deborah held various leadership roles in different law student associations, including the role of President of both the Asian Pacific American and Korean American Law Student Associations. She also received two CALI awards for highest class grade and the Ryan L. Odenwalder Endowed Memorial Scholarship Award for commitment to community service and good academic standing.

Following law school, Sana dedicated her legal career to the practice of family law. In addition to gaining experience at a family law firm, she volunteered her time at the Public Law Center in Orange County, providing legal support to underserved communities. Her compassionate, yet assertive approach quickly earned her a reputation as a dedicated advocate for her clients, especially in emotionally charged cases.

In addition to her practice, Sana is actively involved in the local legal community. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Family Law Section.

Sana continues to be dedicated exclusively to family law.
