Aditi Murillo grew up between continents—born in India, early childhood in England, raised in California—and became the first lawyer in her family. Her multicultural upbringing shaped her perspective and drive, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles. During law school, she gained practical experience through internships at a boutique personal injury law firm in Westwood and at Verizon’s San Francisco office. She also participated in mock trial competitions, served as a staff editor for the Women’s Law Journal, and was an active member of the Intellectual Property and South Asian Law Students Associations.
Following law school, Aditi began her legal career at a boutique intellectual property firm in Irvine, where she practiced intellectual property and business litigation. Her work involved complex commercial disputes and provided a strong foundation in litigation strategy, evidentiary analysis, and financial issues affecting closely held businesses. She later transitioned from general civil litigation to focus exclusively on family law, helping clients navigate some of the most challenging periods in their lives.
Aditi’s family law practice is litigation-focused and centers on high-conflict custody disputes, complex financial matters, and cases involving business-owning spouses. She regularly handles contested matters and evidentiary hearings and works closely with expert witnesses, including forensic accountants, custody evaluators, and business valuation specialists. Her background in business and intellectual property litigation informs her analytical approach to cases involving sophisticated financial issues and complex asset structures.
Aditi has completed advanced training in family law litigation and financial analysis. She is a graduate of the National Family Law Trial Institute in Houston, Texas, where she trained with leading family law practitioners to refine her trial advocacy and business valuation skills. She is also a graduate of the Orange County Bar Association’s College of Trial Advocacy, where she trained with some of Orange County’s most prominent litigation experts. In 2025, Aditi was certified by the State Bar of California as a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS).
Aditi is an active member of the Orange County legal community. She was elected to serve on the inaugural Board of Directors of the South Asian Bar Association of Orange County (SABA-OC) and serves on the Associate Board of Project Youth Orange County. She is also a member of Mommy Esquire, a national organization supporting attorney mothers.
Aditi limits her practice exclusively to family law matters in Orange County. Outside of work, she is a new mom to a nine-month-old daughter, a devoted reader, and a self-proclaimed workout class enthusiast—always looking for the next challenge, on or off the mat.
